We believe the Irish ecosystem will be more competitive and resilient when our leaders are supported and equipped to thrive.
2027 may include challenges like:

- Pressure to do more with less
This is our space for dissecting these issues, building a network who can help when difficult moments arrive, and reminding ourselves that leadership is fundamentally human: starting with awareness of ourselves and knowing our values.

What the Summit covers
- Shipping games vs studio culture, being conscious of trade-offs
- Scaling companies (up and down) and stepping up to leadership responsibilities
- Driving high performance in teams, without burning out those teams
- Additional topics as proposed by attendees
We also host an Evening Reception, open to the entire local games industry for networking and building bridges with our international guests.
The event is inspired by Portside Assembly and IGDA Leadership Day whose curation and focus we admire.
FAQ
Who is eligible for The Summit?
The Summit aims to serve and support leaders running studios that employ people (or equivalent) for bespoke game development. If you feel the Summit could be relevant for you, we encourage you to send an expression of interest.
My studio is at an early-stage, can I participate?
We welcome expressions of interest from early-stage studios. To make things easy for the panel, include details of your traction and progress: such as shipped games, publishing deals or kickstarter campaigns, involvement in pitch competitions, use of European or local supports, etc.
Can studios from Northern Ireland participate?
We encourage reaching out to NI Screen as early as possible to express your interest.
I have a suggestion, may I offer input?
This is an audience-led event and we circulate a survey in advance to take input on desired guest profiles and topics. You may also write us at info@leadershipday.ie.
